Visitors can expect to walk through a living butterfly habitat, marvel at live and preserved specimens of arthropods, and enjoy interactive games and quizzes. The center offers a captivating journey through the fascinating world of insects and arthropods.
Visitors can release a newly-emerged butterfly for its maiden voyage in the rainforest conservatory through the Butterfly Flight School. However, federal regulations prohibit bringing in or removing any plant or animal material from the facility.
Strollers are not allowed inside the Butterfly Center due to the escape risk for butterflies. However, there is a designated stroller parking area available at the entrance to the center.
Photography and videography are allowed inside the Butterfly Center, but tripods and selfie sticks are prohibited. Guests are asked to refrain from touching the butterflies, plants, and other wildlife in the center.
Due to capacity and popularity, visitors are asked to adhere to their ticketed times for entry. Once inside the rainforest, guests are welcome to explore as long as they would like. Releases of butterflies are first come, first served and may be purchased inside the rainforest exhibit.
